It looks like STEAM isn't running or you don't own a copy of ARMA 3.

I keep getting this damn error for the a3 launcher everytime I launch it. I have steam running and I have a copy of arma 3. It has the path to arma 3 and the a3 mod folder. It seems like it can't connect to steam. It says I don't have any steam mods enabled when I do on the a3 launcher. I see that they're enable on the arma 3 launcher. I've been having this problem for months on end and I couldn't find anyone to help including a couple of devs. Hopefully you guys could help, thanks. And I tried the same for CCG. Same error.

I'm having the same problem too. I downloaded Arma3 off of Steam, kept Steam running, downloaded A3 Launcher, and check to ensure the path to Arma3 was correct. I even deleted everything Arma (game and launcher), ran CCleaner, and tried it all again. Still nothing. I also ensure Steam is running whenever I downloaded A3 Launcher.
I do utilize two drive, a C: and D:. All of my Steam games are in the D: drive. I've downloaded the launcher once in the C: and then deleted and then into the D:, both times failed to recognize Steam was running, but was able to automatically locate the Arma3 path.
Has anyone found a fix for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, the Steam app is also in my D: drive.

OK, a mate found a fix for me. Thanks to Boston Stump. Exit steam, then create a desktop shortcut if you already don't have that. Then right click on it and run as administrator. After that open up the launcher and it should be working. Again a special thanks to Boston Stump for contacting me and letting me know about this fix.
