RIP [MELB] Mission Enhanced Little Bird - Unknown mod in launcher? (problem adding server to A3 launcher) [SOLVED]

  • I am trying to add my server to A3 launcher however I receive the error:

    Oh snap! unknown mods - @MELB
    I have deleted & reinstalled it straight from the steam workshop (in case I had a corrupt version).

    Server loads fine & I had it in A3 launcher yesterday (with MELB running).

    1. I have @MELB mod in my Arma3 root directory.

    2. command line is:
      [email protected];@CBA_A3;@CUP_Terrains_Core;@CUP_Terrains_Maps;@CUP_Units;@CUP_Vehicles;@CUP_Weapons;@Extended_Base_Mod;@MELB;

    3. key is in the key folder.

    Am I mission something? The mod hasn't been updated for a while (Dec 2015), so that is not the issue. Also tried loading the folder & command line as [MELB]_Mission_Enhanced_Little_Bird with no luck...

    Maybe A3 Launcher reads the meta.cpp to verify the mod? If it does I could use the steam id as the Mod name:

    meta.cpp file:
    protocol = 1;
    publishedid = 561177050; // I could change the directory name to the steam id
    name = "[MELB] Mission Enhanced Little Bird"; // I have to call it with underscores for the server to load.
    timestamp = 5247533903518523693;

  • I feel this could be a too hard basket mod. RIP [MELB] Mission Enhanced Little Bird.

    A3 Launcher is the king & if MELB doesn't work with it I'm getting rid of it.

    @maca134 thanks for A3Launcher and M3Editor. Without those tools exile wouldn't be where it is today. I don't think anyone would be playing Arma if you had to search & join through the Arma3 launcher.

  • Please mark as solved. I got rid of MELB and can enter my server in A3 Launcher. :)

    happy days

  • I've had MELB working fine on my server with no issues from players logging in with both steam and A3L.. Have you since added it back? Based off your post you may be naming the folder and listing the mod within the command line incorrectly.

    //A3L lists [MELB] within its mods as
    Mission Enhanced Little Bird

    //This is my folder name
    @[MELB] Mission Enhanced Little Bird

    Since there are spaces in the mod names, consider using quotations to sum your entire command line:

    //heres mine as an example

    "@Exile;@CUP_Terrains_Core;@CUP_Terrains_Maps;@VSM - Uniforms;@VSM - Vests and Helmets;@VSM - Weapons;@[MELB] Mission Enhanced Little Bird;@Specialist Military Arms (SMA) Version 2.7.1;@CBA_A3;@ArmaEnhancedMovement;@Ryanzombies;@Extended_Base_Mod;@OCP_JBAD;@RHSUSAF;@VSM - Gear Pack v1"
