Mod Addition - obfusqf
I use obfusqf to protect my missions from being 'copied' as I have some custom scripts in there. However, I cannot add the server to your launcher as it doesn't recognize this mod.
I was kindly wondering whether this is something that could be whitelisted?
is there a link?
@nathan021000 A3Launcher doesn't worry if your mission file is encrypted or not. One of the mods you have on your server isnt in A3launcher's list.
To find out which one put your server online. Open A3Launcher, click on the bottom left (promote server from memory). Click on check server. Enter the server ip and steam query port. ( your port number +1).
It will now say which mod is not supported. Remove the mod and the mod key from your server's key folder.
Obfusqf is not a mod. It is a program that encrypts mission. pbo files.
@aussie Yes I do know that.
I already know which mod it doesn't like, which is why I am asking them to add it.
I can't just remove it from my server. Otherwise, I can't use my own mission file, because I won't have the key to decrypt the mission so the server can read it.
And it does run as a server-side mod to decrypt it....so the server can read it.
@nathan021000 Your mission file will still be read by A3 Launcher, even if it is encrypted.
Please list all the mods you use & I will let you know which one isn't listed in A3Launcher.
Copy your commandline here like this:
[email protected];@Exile;@CBA_A3;@CUP Terrains - Core;@CUP Units;@CUP Vehicles;@CUP Weapons;@JSRS SOUNDMOD;@Extended_Base_Mod"
One of the mods listed in your "-mod=" commandline is not in A3launcher.
A3Launcher has nothing to do with obfusqf.
It is clear that all this mods are server mods? NO client should have this!
And so it is clear that they also have nothing to do on the launcher.
Correct it should look like these:
Are you sure you know how to setup a server?
@Anhor2 is right, they are server mods. Check this install guide by Super Jerome, it makes server setup super easy.
@aussie thank you for confirming
